The presence of children on the streets is a profound concern, and Helping Heart Family Rwanda (HHFR) is deeply committed to ensuring every child has a safe, loving home and the opportunity to thrive. Our programs focus on removing children from vulnerable street environments and supporting their successful reintegration into families and society. We also extend social welfare support to various vulnerable groups.

Our Reintegration & Social Welfare Initiatives
We work tirelessly to provide a path to a better life for vulnerable children and individuals:
- Leading Street Children Reintegration Campaigns: We initiate and implement dedicated campaigns, such as “FATA UMWANA WESE NK’UWAWE, TURWANYE UBUZEREREZI, DUSHYIGIKIRA GAHUNDA YA TUBARERERE MU MIRYANGO,” to actively identify, rescue, and reintegrate children from the streets. In 2022-2023, we successfully helped take over 20 street children off the streets and back into families and schools.
- Providing Counseling and Support: We offer crucial guidance and emotional support to vulnerable individuals, including former street children and those facing social challenges, helping them to heal, adapt, and build positive relationships within their communities.
- Family Reunification: A core aspect of our work is to facilitate the reunification of children with their biological families or placement into nurturing family environments, ensuring they grow up with the support and care they deserve.
- Promoting Child Well-being: Beyond reintegration, we advocate for the overall well-being of children, ensuring their access to education, healthcare, and a protective environment.
