New life beginning
At Helping Heart Family Rwanda, we believe that becoming a mother at a young age is not the end of life it can be a new beginning. Many teenage mothers face judgment, rejection, and hopelessness, but we stand with them. Through our Teen Mother Empowerment Program, we are committed to giving them a second chance and restoring their hope. Here’s how we support them: We advocate for their legal rights, ensuring they receive justice and protection. We help them return to school, because education is the key to a better future. For those who can’t go back to school, we support them to start small businesses, so they can earn a living and take care of their children. Right now, we are supporting 45 teenage mothers: 25 are in Huye District 20 are in Gasabo District
Why This Work Matters
When we support a teenage mother, we are not just changing one life we are helping to break the cycle of poverty, violence, and silence. We are giving hope to a young girl. We are protecting her child. And we are building stronger, more compassionate communities. We believe in dignity, justice, and opportunity for all young mothers.
